Job Vacancy in Oil and Gas Company HSE Drilling Specialist at Spencer Ogden, is offering an HSE Specialist with a Drilling background to join a large E&P Company in Houston, TX. The HSE Specialist in Drilling will be responsible for promoting Zero Harm through the improvement and implementation of a variety of HSE work practices and procedures, and verifying the compliance to all standards. Must be authorized to work in the US, preferably a Texas resident.
Duties include, but are not limited:
• Responsible for providing specialist HSE advice and assist the company’s Drilling Supervisors, managers, and rig Superintendents.
• Undertakes corrective and preventive measures to ensure a proper environment and health for the organization.
• Conduct risk assessment and risk mitigation measures on-site and before commencement of projects.
• Present proposals for corrective or preventive measures, and investigates, analyzes and reviews accidents or near misses within the organization.
• Responsible for ensuring regular emergency response is effective and that managers and employees are prepared at all times.
• Coordinates HSE related activates to all levels of employees within the organization
• Prepare monthly reports and makes presentations regularly to upper management.
• Participate in internal and external audits and inspections, both WWD and Rig Contractors, and to ensure suitable measures are in place to enable inspection programs to be effectively completed.
• Familiarize managers and supervisors with all governmental regulations and HSSE requirements that affect their course of business.
• Coordinate scheduling, implement and assist in the facilitation of regulatory Compliance Training.
Skills:

• Good written and spoken English
• Ability to work within a diverse cultural environment
• Self-motivator
• Excellent communication skills
• Great organizational skills
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Engineering or Science discipline
• 10+ years of HSE related experience in the O7G Industry
• Minimum 10 years of experience in offshore E&P operations
• 4+ years of leadership roles
• Solid knowledge of US GoM regualtions
