Jobs Consultant – Technology Public Relations (position code: CT)

Responsibilities
The consultant will be responsible for managing communications programs for IndoPacific Edelman’s blue chip technology clients. He/She will be involved in planning and implementation of media and other stakeholder communication programs for clients. The incumbent will also be responsible for account management for assigned clients in terms of budgeting, financial management and business development. The consultant at this position will be required to interact with senior level management of the firm’s clients.

Requirements
Strong academic background in Public Relation or social related studies
At least 3 years of working experience related to technology or technology communications.
High degree of interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent in both oral and written communications in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
Deadline oriented with good project management skills
Ability to think strategically and out-of the-box

EXPERIENCE


3-5 years experience in Tourism, product management, online media, advertising, sales and/or marketing or a similar role
EDUCATION
University Degree

PROFILE & SKILLS
Expatriate 25-35 years old with successful working experience in Tourism Industry in Indonesia
Native English speaking + Fluency in a second Foreign language (preferably French)
Extensive knowledge of Indonesia as a tourism destination (and not only Bali)
Excellent product knowledge and understanding market trends
Comprehensive travel industry knowledge (direct selling or tour guiding experience would be an advantage).
High degree of customer service and satisfaction
Perfect command of both written and spoken English, good oral skills in Bahasa Indonesia + knowledge of other foreign languages is a plus
Strong computing skills – knowledge of Tourplan software is a plus.

GENERAL ACTIVITIES
Product Management
Create a wide set of travel programs, touring itineraries and package tours all around Indonesia for Exotissimo’s sales initiatives This includes all tours for brochures
Cost and quote selected programs for targeted agent clients and potential clients.
Develop and improve travel products in Indonesia suitable for clients. Research, follow up, in constant contact with suppliers
Constantly build good working relations with potential business partners whenever possible.
Control that supplier information is collected on time and that product information is stored correctly resulting in a comprehensive, well managed database
Evaluate and review current and new products
Create PDF presentation files of all preferred hotels, restaurants, activities, boats …etc…
Help arrangement of Fam trips when and where necessary, in conjunction with operations departments for overseas agents

Product Research and Development
Travel within Indonesia to experience new travel products, visit preferred hotels as necessary. Subject to pre approval from GM
Take as many pictures of inspected sights and products during inspection trips
Write a detailed illustrated report after any inspection trips and complete report with detailed suggested tour and packages.
Follow the regular products control and suppliers planning and make a report on the inspections

Reporting and training
Report and communicate on a regular weekly basis about new products, inspections with GM + MD and Operation Manager at Exotissimo Indonesia office in Bali
Report and communicate on a regular weekly basis about new products to Group product Manager based at head office in Bangkok –
Communicate with Group Product Manager about new development and new products in Indonesia for all the Group newsletters within deadline on a regular monthly basis
Train, present and explain to other departments within Exotissimo Indonesia as well as Exotissimo sales offices on new products, on a regular basis to achieve product knowledge and promote sales.
Create the training manuals.
Answer and provide information and training to all departments to ensure the new products are well understood and sold correctly and that featured products are selling.
Make a follow up of our competition to be ahead of the market
Make sure the annual tariffs for Indonesia for distribution are sent out to Group Product Manager at our head office in BANGKOK as well as to overseas travel partners and updated throughout the year.

SALARY : Negotiable according to candidate profile
